Our tour was amazing. It was a kind of private tour with not too many people and I could ask my questions without any hesitations. Our tour guide Mack (I hope I'm writing it correctly) was explaining the historical events with combining his and his family's own experiences. Thank you man, thank you team.

I went on a tour with Asim back in September 2018 and after a friend asked for recommendations, I remembered I hadn't left feedback on these guys (sorry). But highly rate their Times of Misfortune tour; it was really informative and Asim was really passionate. If I had more time, I would have booked more tours with them!

We did the Times of Misfortune—Sarajevo Under Siege Tour with Mak Mak as our guide. At first we just wanted some info about how to reach Sarajevo's Tunnel of Hope but we ended to arrange this tour and it was completly worthy paid. We visited the tunnel as well as some other important points in the outskirts of the city, related with the war or the Winter Ollimpic Games. We wouldn't have visited them if we hadn't done this tour. We could understand a bit more what happened in Sarajevo and at the same time we enjoyed the breathtaking views. Mak Mak is a great guide who knows perfectly what he explain and who answered all of our questions.

I did the ‘Times of Misfortune’ tour with Mak back in October. This review is long overdue. As I was traveling, I couldn’t get to it any sooner, for which a profusely apologize. I was interested in understanding the recent history of Sarajevo. This tour takes you to critical sites which are essential to comprehending recent events and which are otherwise hard to get to in a short period of time on your own, as they are scattered in the hills surrounding the city. Therefore, it is an excellent way to visit these important, historical sites in a practical, time-constrained way. Even if you are not into history, the tour offers superb panoramas of this incredible European capital. We had a small, diverse group…a couple from Costa Rica, a Scot working in Kosovo etc. which offered a great opportunity for exchange of ideas and our mutual yearning to understand this region better. Wherein comes our guide – Mak. Mak is not only an excellent guide but also a remarkable human being. He is insightful, rational, and perceptive. With his low-key, albeit exceptional, sense of humor, he can narrate troubled times and yet have this resilient spirit of overcoming everything. He is highly qualified (Masters in International and Public Relations), concerned and careful about his group and answers all your questions with great ingenuity and candor. I thank him for this exceptional experience and wish him luck for everything. I highly recommend this tour to everyone and would definitely do another tour with Mak when I return to Sarajevo.

I had an amazing tour with Asim (I believe). I was the only person on the tour so I had many opportunities to ask questions and had a lot of individual attention. I appreciate how, because I was alone, he always asked if he would like him to take a picture for me because there was some really amazing sites. He was very accommodating and was a very well executed tour. Apart from the amazing views and landscapes, there is a strong attention paid to explaining the siege and what the effects were on the city and its people. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Sarajevo, one of the best experiences I've had!
