To refer to the siege of Sarajevo as 'times of misfortune' is an understatement that masks the incomprehensible terror unleashed by hate on unarmed civilians that should never be referred to as a 'misfortune'! The guide was excellent, knowledgeable and passionate about his country. The tunnel of hope is a testimony of the courage, resiliance and unity of citizens determined to overcome a terrifying violation of their human rights the basic of which is life, security and dignity of their identity and religion. It is a terrifying narrative of the terror of hate on one hand and the defiant pursuit of freedom on the other hand. Humanity at its worst and at its best!

In het voorseizoen, in Juni, waren we de enige 2 inschrijvers voor deze tour, waardoor we een soort privérondleiding kregen van de gids Mak. Een rondleiding waarin we 4 uur lang op plaatsen kwamen waar we zonder gids niet waren gekomen met onze camper.
Mak legde op een rustige manier, in uitstekend duidelijk Engels, de vele facetten van Sarajevo, nu en toen, uit. Deze zeer uitgebreide tour en het enthousiasme van Mak hebben grote indruk op ons gemaakt en ons doen beseffen hoe moeilijk te leven is in deze mooie stad, met de lastige bestuursvorm van Bosnië-Hercegovina.

The tour it's quite extense and our guide explained everything in a very enthusiastic way. He shared with us every single detail. On the other side, we also had the chance to enjoy the best views of Sarajevo. Therefore I strongly recommend it. Enjoy!

Can highly recommend this tour - great guide and driver. You learn a lot about Sarajevo and it is def worth spending the extra money on this more exclusive tour - few guests on the tour and opportunity to ask and chat. Enjoyed it much!
