We came to Sarajevo with our teenagers to show them the beautiful multicultural city and to show them where extrem nationalism can lead to. The tour with the guide Edwin exceeded our expectations: he guided as with passion to different locations, explained very well the complex history leading to the war and the siege, told some personal touching stories of his family to war. What we saw on the news 25y ago came to life as never before and our children were also very impressed. Thanks a lot, Edin!!

Sarajevo has a fascinating history. But of all the possible aspects to consider, the siege of the first half of he 1990s, the scene of heartbreaking heroism, suffering and cruelty, is certainly one of the most important. And all the more so because many of the participants still live there. Discussing such matters and visiting the sites of recent cruel memory could easily go wrong. But this tour has as its leader Eden, in the words of our 14 year old “an absolute boss”, who was a sensitive, informative and endlessly responsive and patient guide to he best and worst of humanity. He gave the group of 8 a whistle stop history of Yugoslavia, warts and all, followed by the breakup of the early 1990s and, most importantly the siege of 1992-1995, all the while taking us to see most of the key sights of the siege -Sniper Alley, the Tunnel of Hope, the Olympic Bobsleigh track and the Jewish Cemetery. And he left us with a superb view of a beautiful city, better informed than we had been, privileged to have seen such important places and hopeful for the future of a great city.

Our tour guide Edin gave us a unforgettable afternoon, he was friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. He was born in the war and with his help, we learned more about the war, how people suffered, and most importantly, the fact that nothing can take over love and dignity from our lives. I would recommend this tour to all visitors who come to Sarajevo!
