We booked the tour spontaneously the night before. InfoBosnia wrote immediately to us that there was an issue with Tripadvisor. Actually the tour was already fully booked. But as we replied that we can not swap to a later date, they organised a private tour for us two, so: An additional guide, a driver and a car. Brilliant! What followed in the next morning was the most impressive tour we've ever witnessed. Our tour guide Lejla Taljic witnessed the first days of the siege of Sarajevo through the Serbs, could flee from the city, but had to leave her family behind. She gave us a deep insight in the days of the siege, but also a digression in Yugoslavia, the Ottoman Empire, the three abrahamic religions and how they have coexisted in Sarajevo for centuries. We could have probably talked for another two hours. Thank you for everything, Lejla! We'd definitely recommend everyone visiting Sarajevo to book that tour, in Germany you'd probably pay four or five times for that kind of experience and the understanding you'll get for the culture and history of Bosnia and the spirit of Europe is priceless anyway.

I did the Info Bosnia Tours "Sarajevo Under siege tour", my guide was Edin. I was collected and dropped off, shown all the key locations and talked through all the aspects of the seige that were of interest to me, an excellent experience, I would highly recommend Edin and this tour.

After three weeks of roaming around Europe from one historical location to another, this tour of Sarajevo was the equal of anything I’d experienced in six countries. The sombre story of Sarajevo’s siege was brought dynamically to life by the personal testimony of Mustapha, our driver and guide. Expertly narrated, with just the right balance of detail and personal insight, Mustapha took us through the streets of Sarajevo, past the Market where more than sixty people died on one day to the Tunnel of Hope Museum, where the story of how Sarajevo defied Serbian aggression almost alone for over three years was told. It was a chastening and humbling experience to hear Mustapha’s testimony and to see what it took to survive in those dreadful times. The tour continued with a visit to the former Winter Olympic bobsleigh runs and the Yellow Fortress, with its commanding views of the city below. I couldn’t have wished for a better and more illuminating experience than this - visiting the Tunnel museum without an educator like Mustapha to help me to understand it properly would have been a terrible error. Asim at the office was also excellent at coordinating the beginning of the tour and deserves a mention for his helpfulness. Absolutely brilliant.

This tour was guided by Eddy. 4 persons in a small bus. Very interesting, which gave us you a very good, picture of the period of war. Eddy was best guide we have faced in years. Lots of information, energy, historic back ground etc. With nice views from different perspectives of the city of Sarajevo.

The tour was very good, our guide Edin had extensive knowledge (and also spoke from personal experiences, which is a major plus!!!) about the history and hardships of what Sarajevo/Bosnia had gone through. Very pleased with this tour.
