This tour is a great way to learn about the difficult times of Sarajevo from the beginning to now. Mak is a great guide and the tour was well planned. We really enjoyed it!

On the first day of our visit to Sarajevo we were searching for a walking tour and find the office of Info Bosnia by chance. We went for a free walking tour with our guide Said who is very knowledgable despite his young age. He also helpd us with accomodation for next day and gave us a lot of useful tips where to eat, where to buy..Since we were very satisfied with him and with the lady working at the desk,we decided we will go with the same agency also the next day for the Sarajevo under the Siege tour. Next day our guide was Mak. He is the perfect guide you want when you get in a new city. From Bascarsija when he picked us to the tunnel of hope he talked about every building we encounterd, about the history of Yugoslavija, economics, politics, trivia facts..30 min withoth taking a breath.😀And it contiued for the rest of the day, answering to all the questions we had and giving us also some great tips for our travel. Not only he knows a lot, he has a good spirit and was a great company for the day. I can really recomend Mak and Info Bosnia agency.

To refer to the siege of Sarajevo as 'times of misfortune' is an understatement that masks the incomprehensible terror unleashed by hate on unarmed civilians that should never be referred to as a 'misfortune'! The guide was excellent, knowledgeable and passionate about his country. The tunnel of hope is a testimony of the courage, resiliance and unity of citizens determined to overcome a terrifying violation of their human rights the basic of which is life, security and dignity of their identity and religion. It is a terrifying narrative of the terror of hate on one hand and the defiant pursuit of freedom on the other hand. Humanity at its worst and at its best! Hint: read some history of Sarejevo before the tour as it helps in processing heart wrenching details.
